How to Use the "Rainbow Text" Group of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint

Rainbow Text group

Please note: Some changes may have been made to the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint since the making of this video.

The “Rainbow Text” group is part of the “TS Content” tab (previously part of the “TS Design” tab, formerly called “Time Savers 1”) of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint.

The tools in this part of the Time Savers Add-in make it possible for you to:

  • Quickly and easily add a rainbow effect to your text all in 1 go – instead of having to color 1 letter at a time.

Rainbow Text Options:

rainbowFill@8x
  • Text fill: the text colour will change to whichever colour sequence your select.
rainbowBorder@8x
  • Text Outline: the text will be outlined using whichever colour sequence you select.
rainbowBackground@8x
  • Text Highlight: the text will be highlighted using whichever colour sequence you select.

Colours:

    • If you select text, only the selected text will be affected.
    • If you select a shape, all text in that shape will be affected.
    • Note: this feature won’t work if your selected shape is in a group.

  • You can create your own custom colour sequences and they will be stored for future use.
    • Click the ‘Add’ button.

    • Be sure to add a NAME for your colour sequence – this will appear in the ‘Colours’ dropdown menu for you to select.
    • There will be a table with 2 cells on the screen. Select each of the cells in turn and fill them with your desired colours. If you wish to create a sequence with more than 2 colours, simply add more columns to your table and fill the new cells with colours.
    • Be sure to delete any extra cells if you add too many, otherwise the white fill of the cells will be included in your colour sequence.
    • Once you have finished naming your colour sequence and adding your colours, click the ‘Add’ button again and it will be added to the colour sequences you can choose from in the ‘Colours’ dropdown menu.
    • You can add a maximum of 20 custom colour sequences.
Delete@4x

    • In order to delete a sequence, simply delete the sequence’s NAME.
    • When you have finished deleting the names of all colour sequences you no longer want, click the ‘Remove’ button again and they will be removed from the ‘Colours’ dropdown menu.
