How to Use the "Marketplace Links" Group of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint
Please note: Some changes may have been made to the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint since the making of this video.
The “Marketplace Links” group is part of the “TS Marketplaces” tab (previously called “Time Savers 4”) of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint.
The tools in this part of the Time Savers Add-in make it possible for you to:
- Add marketplace specific links to the shapes in your presentation in preparation for selling your products on multiple marketplaces.
Edit marketplaces:
- Click this button to bring up a screen that will allow you to edit your marketplaces.
- There are 5 built-in marketplaces: TPT, Made by Teachers, Classful, Etsy and TES.
- There is also space for you to add up to 6 of your own custom marketplaces, or your own website.
- In order to use a marketplace, you need to fill in a default store URL. This would be the URL of your store on the relevant marketplace. Apart from TPT, only marketplaces for which you have entered a default URL will appear on the ribbon.
- You can also edit the label for each marketplace if you wish.
- When you are finished editing your marketplaces, simply click the ‘Edit’ button again and the changes will be saved.
Adding custom marketplace links to shapes:
- Select the shape you wish to add marketplace-specific links to and type/paste the URL into the relevant field on the ribbon.
- There is also a field for adding non-TPT links. This is there for situations like when you are adding a Boom link, where you need to use the Secret TPT url for selling on TPT, but you need to use the Secret Market url for selling on other platforms.
- Fields for other marketplaces will become visible based on the marketplaces you add when you use the ‘Edit’ button.
Default links:
- Quickly and easily add your default store links to any selected shapes, without needing to copy/paste them or type them in.
Remove links:
- Remove all marketplace links from any selected shapes.
Check links:
- Check the marketplace links of any selected shape.
There is a fantastic Facebook group, Teacher-Sellers on the Marketplaces, where you can find an enormous amount of valuable information about selling your resources on each of these different platforms.
Thank you to Elaine Greenwell, who has spent a great deal of time researching and putting together all this information and providing support for other sellers wishing to diversify.
Please note: You will need to answer questions and agree to the group rules in order to be added to the group.
