How to Use the "Quick Links" Group of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint
Please note: Some changes may have been made to the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint since the making of this video.
The “Quick Links” group is part of the “TS Publish” tab (previously called “Time Savers 3”) of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint.
The tools in this part of the Time Savers Add-in make it possible for you to:
- Quickly and easily link shapes to slides in your presentation.
- See any existing links in your presentation at a glance.
- Remove links from multiple shapes at the same time.
Tag Shapes:
- Tag shapes for linking.
- All the selected shapes will be tagged in preparation for linking them to slides in your presentation – in the order in which they were selected.
- If you have already tagged shapes for linking, the new tags will follow on from the previously added tags.
All Slides
- You can choose if you want to tag matching shapes on all slides at the same time.
URL:
- All selected shapes will be given a hyperlink to the URL you type into the field provided.
Check Links:
- Check which shapes have been tagged for linking and which shapes already have links.
- All shapes that have been tagged for linking will be outlined in red and numbered so that you can see the order in which links to slides will be added.
- Any shapes with existing links will also be outlined and their links will be indicated.
Remove Tags:
- Remove tags for linking.
- Remove the tags for linking from all selected shapes.
- If you have no shapes selected, then the tags will be removed from all shapes in the presentation.
All Slides
- You can choose if you want to remove the tags from matching shapes on all slides at the same time.
Remove Links:
- Remove existing links from selected shapes.
All Slides
- You can choose if you want to remove the links from matching shapes on all slides at the same time.
Link to Slides:
- Link the tagged shapes to your selected slides.
- All the shapes you have tagged will be linked to your selected slides – based on the order in which you tagged the shapes, and the order in which you have selected the slides.
Link to Sections:
- Link the tagged shapes to the sections in your presentation.
- All the shapes you have tagged will be linked to the first slide in each section in your presentation – based on the order in which you tagged the shapes.
- If you want the links to start at a particular section, select a slide in that section. Otherwise, the links will automatically start from the section directly after the section containing the first tagged shape.
Repeat Sequence:
- You can choose to have your tagged shapes linked to your selected slides in a recurring sequence until all tagged shapes have been linked.
