How to Use the "Text Mix-up" Group of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint
Please note: Some changes may have been made to the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint since the making of this video.
The “Text Mix-up” group is part of the “TS Create” tab (previously called “Time Savers 2”) of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint.
The tools in this part of the Time Savers Add-in make it possible for you to:
- Quickly and easily create jumbled text activities.
Type of mix-up:
Letters:
- All letters in each word will be shuffled.
Words:
- All words in each sentence will be shuffled.
- Note: If all paragraphs in the selected shape contain only 1 sentence each, then the end punctuation will remain with the last word of the sentence as the words are shuffled. However, if any of the paragraphs in the shape contain more than 1 sentence, then the end punctuation for each sentence will remain at the end of the sentence, to separate the sentences in the paragraphs. For the sake of consistency, this will also apply to all paragraphs in the same shape, including those with only 1 sentence.
Sentences:
- All sentences in each paragraph will be shuffled.
Paragraphs:
- All paragraphs will be shuffled.
Keep original:
- Choose whether you want a duplicate of the current slide to be created to preserve the original text.
Mix-up:
Once you have selected the way you want to shuffle the text, you can select the shapes containing the text you want to shuffle and click the ‘Mix up’ button.
- The text within each selected shape will be shuffled in the way you have chosen.
- A duplicate of the current slide will also be created to preserve the original text.
