How to Use the "Z-Order" Group of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint

Z-order group

Please note: Some changes may have been made to the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint since the making of this video.

The “Z-Order” group is part of the “TS Shapes” tab (previously part of the “TS Design” tab, formerly called “Time Savers 1”) of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint.

The tools in this part of the Time Savers Add-in make it possible for you to:

  • Quickly paste send objects to the back or bring them to the front in a particular order, or in a random or reversed order.

Front:

Z-order dropdown1
  • Default
    • Select the shapes you wish to bring to the front, in the order you wish them to appear (from the front, backwards). i.e. the shape you select first will end up right at the front.
  • Reverse
    • All selected shapes will be brought to the front, in their reverse order. i.e. the shape that starts off furthest to the back will end up right at the front and the shape that starts off closest to the front will end up furthest to the back.
  • Default
    • All selected shapes will be brought to the front in a random order. Fantastic for shuffling a deck of cards!

Back:

Z-order dropdown2
  • Default
    • Select the shapes you wish to send to the back, in the order you wish them to appear (from the back, forwards). i.e. the shape you select first will end up right at the back.

  • Default
    • All selected shapes will be sent to the back in a random order. Fantastic for shuffling a deck of cards!
