The “Slides” group is part of the “TS Content” tab (previously part of the “TS Design” tab, formerly called “Time Savers 1”) of the Time Savers Add-in for PowerPoint.

The tools in this part of the Time Savers Add-in make it possible for you to:

  • Quickly paste objects to multiple slides.
  • Change the slide size with the click of a button (including 6×6 inch square, 10×10 inch square, landscape letter, portrait letter, landscape A4, portrait A4, 10×15 inch Pinterest, Widescreen).
  • Insert backgrounds on a bunch of different slides all in one go.
  • Pin slides in order to prevent PowerPoint from jumping to the previous or next slide when scrolling up or down while editing.

  • If the background pictures or shapes are a different orientation to the slides, they will automatically be rotated to the same orientation as the slides.

Set resolution
  • You can set the resolution (in dpi) for the slide backgrounds.
  • When you have the ‘As Slide Backgrounds’ option selected, it may sometimes be necessary to export the pictures (depending on your sizing and rotation settings) or shapes as images before inserting them as backgrounds.
  • If your resolution and slide size cause the background images to be greater than 3000px, and you have the ‘Max 3000px’ option selected, then the images will be exported at the maximum resolution, while still keeping the image smaller than 3000px.

 Max 3000px

  • Limit slide background image sizes to 3000px.
  • On some older versions of PowerPoint, images greater than 3000px in either direction may come out a bit messed up. If this happens, it is recommended that you keep this option selected.
  • This will export the slides at the maximum resolution, while still keeping the image smaller than 3000px.

Image format

  • You can choose if you want the backgrounds to be saved as PNG or JPG images.
